What are pet owners naming their pets these days? Apparently some of the top names include Bella, Bailey, Max, Lucy and Molly. The current most popular pet names are human names. Veterinary Pet Insurance Co. compiled a list of most popular pet names from its database of 485,000 insured pets. Popular cat names also include Chloe, Smokey, Shadow, Tiger and Charlie. Among the top 10 dog names are Buddy, Maggie, Daisy, Charlie and Sophie. Some of these names are top popular names among human babies as well, indicating that people view their pets as part of their family.
